"Acting with compassion, understanding, and empathy is paramount when explaining court procedures and providing legal resources. Knowing that this assistance can alleviate a person’s anxiety and make appearing in court a less intimidating experience is incredibly rewarding and humbling, and makes volunteering worthwhile."
